    EMBODYOGA®-inspired Hatha Yoga Teacher Training

300 hour teacher training & advanced study program

4 MODULES OF STUDY / 4 WEEKENDS PER MODULE:

16 2-day weekends or 8 4-day long weekends formats available

Increase self-knowledge, acceptance and love through advanced studies in "embodied-inquiry", asana, mantra, pranayama, meditation and philosophy.

My Embodyoga®-inspired programs are well-rounded, in-depth studies of yoga with an emphasis on deepening personal embodiment as the basis for developing depth and power as a teacher. Learn to teach embodied-inquiry practices and share the depth of this experience with your students through Precision Alignment and Vinyasa Hatha Yoga, Mantra, Mudra, Meditation, and Pranayama practices

Program leader, Karen Miscall-Bannon, brings 34 years of practice and over 14 years of teaching and training teachers to this incredible program of study. She worked with Patty Townsend, the owner and creator of Embodyoga® , for 13 years in Amherst, MA studying, teaching, and teaching in Embodyoga® teacher trainings. She brings a strong tradition of Iyengar Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa to her teacher trainings, as well as extensive study of anatomy from her over 15 years as a bodyworker and educator. Karen is a passionate student of asana, yoga philosophy, mantra, and meditation, and enthusiastically shares her love of the practices with her students in an easily – accessible way! She is passionate about bringing the healing practices of yoga to underserved populations, with a special love for bringing yoga practice to incarcerated people and veterans suffering from PTS. She is a senior faculty member and program co-director of Mindful Yoga Therapy for Veterans.

Karen's Embodyoga®-inspired programs provide a deep knowledge of alignment, profoundly influenced by the innovative approach to full embodiment and consciousness presented by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen of the School for Body–Mind Centering® and Patty Townsend of Embodyoga®. I've also been inspired by the Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa schools of yoga.
